How does quote-to-cash differ from order-to-cash?
Quote-to-cash includes upstream quotation and pricing activities as well as downstream order, billing and cash-related processes. Order-to-cash begins with the order stage. Agree the actual start and end points for the engagement.
Does Q2C always require Oracle CPQ?
The architecture depends on the existing applications and business requirements. Oracle CPQ may support quoting, but the engagement must identify the actual quoting, order and receivables systems and licensed capabilities.
How are cross-system errors handled?
Define transaction ownership, validation rules, exception queues, retries and escalation routes. Test duplicates, missing data and failed handoffs alongside the normal process before release.
Can Q2C enhancements be supported after launch?
Yes, within an agreed scope. Prioritize changes with process owners and validate their downstream finance and integration impacts before deployment.
