Cloud Migration & Modernization Services
Move workloads with dependencies and operations in view. Modernization adapts architecture or components to better fit the intended operating model. Intelecox connects migration planning with application, data, integration, testing and transition requirements.
What is Cloud Migration & Modernization?
Cloud migration moves agreed applications, data or infrastructure into a target cloud environment. Modernization adapts architecture or components to better fit the intended operating model. Intelecox connects migration planning with application, data, integration, testing and transition requirements.
Start with the business need and agree the delivery scope, dependencies and acceptance criteria before implementation.

Migration choices should follow workload needs. AWS describes strategies including retain, retire, relocate, rehost, repurchase, replatform and refactor; these are planning options rather than a reason to move every workload. Read AWS migration strategy guidance.
Cloud Migration & Modernization: your questions answered.
Explore scope, planning and delivery considerations before starting a conversation with Intelecox.
Is cloud migration the same as modernization?
No. Migration changes where a workload operates; modernization changes aspects of its architecture or technology. A program may include both, but moving a workload alone does not remove every legacy constraint.
How should a migration approach be selected?
Assess business value, dependencies, technical fit, risk and operating needs. Options can include retaining or retiring a workload, rehosting it, changing its platform or reworking its architecture. Define the approach for each workload before sequencing delivery.
Can migration happen in phases?
A phased plan can group workloads by dependency and readiness. Define how systems communicate during coexistence, how data remains consistent and which acceptance criteria permit each transition.
Can you guarantee a migration with no downtime?
Downtime requirements depend on workload design, data synchronization, dependencies and cutover options. Agree the acceptable disruption, transition procedure and rollback criteria rather than assuming every workload can move without interruption.
How is a migrated workload validated?
Compare required functionality, integrations, data integrity, performance and access behavior against agreed criteria. Document test evidence and operating readiness before accepting the transition.
What happens after cutover?
Agree monitoring, issue ownership, support handover and post-transition review. Optimization or modernization work should be prioritized from observed results and scoped explicitly.
